EU-designated open datasets with the highest re-use potential — geospatial, meteorological, statistics, companies, mobility, EO. High-Value Datasets (HVD) are the 6 thematic categories the EU has legally designated as must-be-open under the Open Data Directive — geospatial, earth observation, meteorological, statistics, companies, and mobility. Every member state has to publish them free of charge, via APIs, in machine-readable form, under a CC BY licence.
